From 24th February 2022, there is an end to contact tracing. Students who live with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 can continue to attend the Academy.
BUT IF YOUR CHILD TESTS POSITIVE…
If your child tests positive using a PCR test or feels unwell and has Covid-19 symptoms, please call the Academy. Government guidance now states that from Aril 1st 2022 people under the age of 18 will be required to isolate for 3 days following a positive Covid test.

GUIDE TO SELF TESTING USING A LFD
If you insist on your child attending school when they have symptoms, we can take the decision to refuse your child if, in our reasonable judgement, it is necessary to protect other pupils and staff from possible infection with COVID-19.
HOME TESTING COMES TO AN END
- Asymptomatic testing has now come to an end.
- From 21 February, staff and pupils in mainstream secondary schools will not be expected to continue taking part in regular asymptomatic testing and should follow asymptomatic testing advice for the general population. Further information is available in the NHS ‘get tested for COVID-19’ guidance.
